The device offers advanced features such as port diagnostic, cable test, speed auto-negotiation, automatic T1 pair swap, and many others.

The 100/1000BASE-T1 Media Converter realizes a bi-directional physical layer conversion between 100/1000BASE-T1 and Fast/Gigabit Ethernet networks. The converter is easily configurable via on-board switches and its status is visualised by multiple LEDs. Advanced features such as frame generator and cable diagnostic are available, and the device can also be used as a USB-CAN(/FD) interface. An open communication protocol over CAN(/FD) and USB can be used to programmatically read the port status and configure the parameters.

100BASE-T1 Device Firmwares for USB-CAN conversion

New firmware releases for 100BASE-T1 Media Converter and 100BASE-T1 USB Interface enable the unit to act as a USB-CAN interface. This feature can be used simultaneously with 100BASE-T1 conversion function. The new firmwares also enable the user to generate test modes on the 100BASE-T1 port.

The device offers user-scripting feature which allows to run user applications directly on the interface.
